The following entries document the early development of Kimberly Kitzerow’s theoretical and educational frameworks, beginning with the initial physiological insight linking autism traits and comorbidities and continuing through the earliest public documentation of the work.

Kitzerow compiled and preserved primary source evidence documenting the independent creation and development of her frameworks across multiple stages. This includes original infographic files created in Adobe Express and Illustrator, written papers, published books, and the construction of her BioGene biochemical network throughout its progression.

During her daughter’s fourth birthday, Kimberly Kitzerow observed that her daughter was unable to blow out birthday candles. The observation led to the realization that the inability to speak could be physiological rather than cognitive. This insight prompted the earliest conceptual framework linking autism traits and systemic comorbidities through shared physiological mechanisms.

During this period, Kitzerow developed and refined neuroplasticity-based instructional strategies used to support speech development. These methods later became the foundation of the NeuroToggle® educational framework.

The instructional strategies developed to support speech development were formally structured into the early framework that would later become NeuroToggle®. The model applies principles of neuroplasticity to targeted skill development.

Kitzerow publicly released the story documenting the process through which her daughter progressed from silence to speech. The release generated broader questions regarding the physiological mechanisms underlying speech limitations in autism.

Kitzerow publicly requested assistance in identifying a neuroscientist who could evaluate whether the instructional strategies that supported her daughter’s speech development might also benefit other nonverbal autistic children.

Kitzerow identified a major gap in the literature regarding the physical mechanisms required to produce speech sounds in individuals who cannot speak. This marked an early methodological shift toward examining speech-related physiology more directly.

Kitzerow identified a pattern in stress-induced hyperglycemia as a redox protein shift, marking the earliest articulation of a toggle-like biochemical response to physiological strain. This became the starting point for mapping bioinformatics research into a systems-level biochemical framework.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services began looking into Kitzerow’s work during this period, marking an early point of outside institutional awareness.

Kitzerow identified a broader redox shift affecting the body systemically over time, including implications for ROS depletion and cumulative physiological deficits. This later aligned with the concept of chronic allostatic overload.
